Weird Wonders of the World

Join us for this exciting young adult discussion series, Weird Wonders of the World

Each Program in this series will focus on amazing records, laws and facts.

All programs will be held in the Whetstone Room at the Comer Library from 4:00-5:00 pm.

All teens ages 12-18 are invited to attend.


 

 

January 16, 2018 – Weird Food

Weird food from around the world – from strange to downright disgusting -will be the highlight of this program, which is sure to get your stomach turning.

 

 

January 30, 2018 – Weird History

History is full of strange-but-true happenings. Come and learn about some of the weirdest historical facts that will leave you scratching your head.

 

 

February 13, 2018 – Weird Restaurants

“Alternative dining” takes on a whole new meaning with a look at some of the world’s weirdest restaurants!

 

 

February 27, 2018 – Weird Weather

Have you ever seen it rain fish? Learn about the weirdest, wackiest, wildest weather ever -and what makes it happen.

 

 

March 13, 2018 – Weird Art

From a woman who embroiders bread to another who makes art from dust, meet some of eccentric artists and their art from around the world.

 

 

April 10, 2018 – Weird Places

The earth is a big place. So, it’s no surprise that occasionally there are some strange places that seem like they were formed by aliens. Join us as we look at the weirdest places on the planet.

 

 

April 24, 2018 – Weird Mysteries

The far corners of the earth are full of weird mysteries, like the pyramids of Egypt and Stonehenge. This program takes a look at mysteries that have stumped researchers for years.

 

 

May 1, 2018 – Weird Hobbies

Boredom or too much creativity? Learn about some of the weirdest activities and strange hobbies people engage in when they have plenty of free time.
