A special event of Saturday night April 12, 2008 was a dinner at the Sylacauga Country Club celebrating the 60th reunion of Sylacauga High School Class of ‘48. Thirty-two alumni and 17 spouses attended along with close friends of the class making a total of 52. The last reunion was held in 1973.
Casablanca lilies arranged in a single tall slender crystal vase was in the center of each table for eight . Red and black balloons tied with ribbons floated above the flowers. Cloths were white, napkins were black. A lovely mass arrangement of the lilies with red tulips was in the foyer. This beautiful setting was created by 2 members of the class, Sue Malwitz Edfeldt and Nan Barnes Wingo, of Birmingham
